Ex-wife of London terrorist 'shocked and saddened' by his actions
The attacks on London Bridge and Borough Market on Saturday night were shocking and beyond belief to all of us. But imagine finding out that your ex-husband was one of the terrorists who killed eight people and injured at least 48 others. Now, Charisse O'Leary, the former wife of one of the attackers, has spoken out about her ex-partner's actions.
In a statement, O'Leary, the Irish ex-wife of Rachid Redouane paid tribute to the victims of the atrocity. She said she and the 30-year-old Moroccan pastry chef had a daughter together and split up about six months ago.
"My heartfelt thoughts go out to all those murdered or injured in the events of 3rd June 2017," O'Learly said.
"I am deeply shocked, saddened and numbed by the actions of my ex partner who has killed and injured so many innocent people."Dan Kitwood
She added that she is now coming to terms with what happened but wonders how she will ever be able to explain it to her young daughter.
"My thoughts and efforts now are with trying to bring up my daughter with the knowledge that someday I will have to try and explain to her why her father did what he did.
"I wish to make it absolutely clear, so there can be no doubt, I condemn his actions and do not support the beliefs he held that led to him committing this atrocity."

Speaking of the attack, Collina said: "It is a horrible thing, something that should not happen. It shouldn't have happened and it should not happen again."
